How do they behave?
These little furry dogs are very restless and are always on alert. Despite being very small, they are very brave and cunning when faced with larger dogs, showing how confident they can be. However, they are always looking for affection and physical contact from their owners because they form a strong connection.
How to recognize a Chihuahua dog
The Chihuahua dog is a toy-sized dog with a compact and stylized body. Their ears are large and straight and set quite far apart. That along with the bulging eyes gives it a cute, deer-like appearance. As for the coat, there are two varieties: long-haired and wavy and short-haired. However, the Chihuahua breed has a wide variety of colors that can range from brown, black or cream.
Tips to care for your Chihuahua dog
The Chihuahua breed does not need too much specific care. Of course, they are quite nervous dogs, so it is best to train them properly from their puppy stage or in the long run they can become real beasts! despite their small size (some types of Chihuahua even carry in a pocket!).
The Chihuaha dog can adapt perfectly to indoor life, although don't forget to take him for a walk at least twice a day to calm his anxiety and nerves. But, a warning, you have to try not to pamper him too much or give in to all his whims! since he is a very smart dog and will know how to dominate you. On the other hand, Chihuahua dogs tolerate the cold quite poorly and have a tendency to obesity! So respect their diet and you will have a healthy and happy companion for many years, since the Chihuahua breed has a life expectancy of 18 years!
Their eyes are one of the most sensitive parts of the Chihuahua dog, so be sure to clean and care for them often with the help of saline solution or cold chamomile infusions.
